Dennis played a very large part of my life for a number of years. Many mornings we worked banding stations on the shores of the Carmans River. His work, knowledge, humanity, and support of the many students from Bellport HIgh School will ensure his place in History, and the hearts of many students like me. I have not been involved in such matters for many years, and I just learned of his passing. He will be missed by this once budding and overenthustiac Naturalist. |

I spotted an Osprey in the tree in my back yard this evening. I had never seen one. It was so beautiful. It just sat in the tree. I wish I could have see it fly. |

Hi we are lucky to live near Rutland Water where we had 2 nests this year, one had 3 chicks and the other had 2, took lots of pictures, good luck for next year.

Living on the east coast, I get to enjoy the beauty of ospreys and eagles first hand, but never as close as this webcam allows. There was a webcam installed in Nova Scotia but unfortunately it was shut down due to the deaths of the chicks ... by a Great Horned Owl: http://museum.gov.ns.ca/mnh/osprey/index.asp. Thank you for making this webcam available! |

I don't live close enough to water to be able to watch something like this every day. I started watching the web cams from the Blackwater Refuge in MD and have somehow gotten addicted :) My cat even enjoys watching! |

I found the osprey cam this year and I am addicted. This is by far one of the best sites where you can get close to wildlife. The Observations Database has a great group of people to let you know what is going one. Thank you! |
