Since someone planted this bug in my ear in a post, below, I decided to continue the train of thought in a new post. I won't be able to make it to the get-together on July 9 but I do have an idea, for The Celeste And Marie Show, with guest star Tim!
Price of admission: a contribution to the Name That Tune portion of the show. You must be able to name a song in which birds figure either in the title or in the name of the artist. Go put your thinking caps on and don't forget to turn on the power (as I tell my students)!
Shelley, grinning an evil grin and rubbing hands together in delight.......
Um, DaveS? Any chance an audio and/or video cam can be set up at the picnic for those of us *observing*. We promise to keep our observations strictly scientific.....

We can have an observation board "Celeste just set down the bowl of salad" and a message board "Wow - ___ is really loading up the plate!" |

Wasnt there a song called 'Bird of Prey' a few years ago? And what about 'Free as a Bird' by the Beatles which is one I CAN remember! |

Well, from the genre I seem to be *exposed to* most, during the school year (ahem), here are a few more I think may otherwise be missed:
Robin in The Rain
Mockingbird
Five Little Ducks
Turkey in the Straw
*Chicken* Soup With Rice
I know for a fact that I can come up with many, many more but you will have to forgive me. It is almost the end of June and I am less than 2 weeks away from summer mode and am completely blanking on the many others we sing all year long in my class of 6, 7 and 8-year olds... ;-) |

Marie, it's Nelly Furtado, I believe. Until I saw it written in print, I also had no idea how to spell it!
You made me smile!! Great song by the way! (I'm Like a Bird) |
