Thread subject: Thanks, guys, for the zoom-in!!
Name Date Message
Shelley 05/25/07 05:14 pm Dave, Tom, whoever did it, thank you!! I just watched the zoom-in, live!

I just got home, too, and this has been my first glimpse of the chick. I read about it but I can't get the cam on my school computer so I had to wait to get home.

YAY!
june 05/25/07 05:42 pm Great zoom ins. The nest is so much deeper than I thought. Makes me feel a little more comfortable about them not falling out.
Judy 05/25/07 05:50 pm Can someone please post a picture of the new view of the nest for those of us that can't see it? Thanks!
Pamela 05/25/07 05:51 pm I agree, June, the nest is more protected than what it appears to have been previously. Just watched Betty feed the new chick his first Friday dinner. . .awesome shot! My thanks go out as well.
Pam 05/25/07 05:52 pm I seem to be looking in at all the wrong times today, missed the first views of the chick, missed each feed, missed the camera zoom. Wonderful view now of Betty, haven't seen the chick in close-up yet. I agree June the nest does look deeper now, quite a grassy bank. However, although I like seeing more detail I think it will not be so good for making observations of what is happening round about so I am hoping that Dave or Tom will keep an eye open and zoom out again when necessary.
Pam 05/25/07 06:04 pm Judy, scroll down to last pic. No chick visible just now:

Pam 05/25/07 06:06 pm Judy - see Cecilia's message above, much better pictures than mine !!
Cecilia 05/25/07 06:08 pm Judy I just posted 5 shots in a new thread of Betty feeding the new chick.
Cecilia 05/25/07 06:09 pm Oh, and I forgot...thanks for the zoom!
Celeste 05/25/07 06:12 pm Thank you, thank you!
Madeline 05/25/07 06:16 pm Thanks Dave and Tom for the great zoom-in, the picture is so crystal clear also.

I was able to see the chick as Betty was fidgeting with it and the other eggs. First glimps was when Betty's baci was to the cam, and then She turned around and gave a great view of her chick. She's now facing 7:00, and once in a while the chicks head peeks out :-)))
DaisyG 05/25/07 06:18 pm Thanks a million guys, I watched the cam zoom in with great excitement. What a superb view!
martyc35 05/25/07 06:25 pm Thanks to all for shifting the cam, and see the feeding slideshow I just posted above (it's backwards, but what the hey).

Mare 05/25/07 06:36 pm Dave and Tom, you guys are terrific, and fast! Thanks so much! :>)
Judy 05/25/07 07:11 pm Thank you so much! Great pictures!
terryo 05/25/07 07:12 pm Dave, Tom et al., the Conn. cam doesn't have anything on the DPOF cam, Mr. P is probably tuned in as we speak. Thank so much what a difference.
lynn 05/25/07 07:48 pm

Thanks Tom and Dave and all who did the terrific job of putting the cam on zoom! :-)

I caught a quick glimpse early this evening in between dinner & what-not; catching up on the days events now. Again thanks for all the great detailed info. :-)
sami 05/26/07 05:48 am This is the first time I am able to view the close up of the nest and it is absolutely awesome!!!
Thank U sooo much.
Seeing the female adult, the remaining 2 eggs and first born (up close and personal) is an egg-citing experience!!
