Well then there were two. One flew off leaving the other to set to work on what looks like a frozen-stiff duck. It tore off the feathers and is still tackling the tough-sounding meat. Don't miss this cam - it's a beautiful scene, snowy landscape, just like a Christmas card. |

Glad you found it Pamela. I just had another look and don't think it was a duck, looks more like some sort of shorter beaked black bird. I get the feeling the bird is still perched somewhere nearby. |

I will go check it out!
Where is it located? |

It's located in Decorah, Iowa. The Minnesota border lies 15 miles to the north. The Mississippi River lies 30 miles to the east. The town is in the upper eastern portion of the state. |

It's getting dark there now and I have not seen the eagles since this morning. They do have infrared apparently. I saw a little squirrel on the edge of the nest earlier. Did you notice there is a forum too? One or two familiar names on it by the way :-)) |

:-(( cannot watch American Eagle in our region unfortunately Celeste due to "rights restrictions" I think I must have struck lucky seeing two eagles yesterday - all quiet right now except for traffic and a few little birds flitting around. |
