Pam 12/30/09 10:53 am Just discovered this Eagles A superb Bald Eagle webcam. Take a look. An adult there right now, nest building etc Lovely view, and sound as well. A real new year treat in fact !!
Pam 12/30/09 11:39 am Well then there were two. One flew off leaving the other to set to work on what looks like a frozen-stiff duck. It tore off the feathers and is still tackling the tough-sounding meat. Don't miss this cam - it's a beautiful scene, snowy landscape, just like a Christmas card.
Pam 12/30/09 12:07 pm Three pictures he re
Eagle seems to be still there but out of view
Pamela 12/30/09 01:09 pm The webcam is outstanding.
Thank you for sharing your discovery with us and ending the year on a high note, Pam.
Pam 12/30/09 01:17 pm Glad you found it Pamela. I just had another look and don't think it was a duck, looks more like some sort of shorter beaked black bird. I get the feeling the bird is still perched somewhere nearby.
Shelley 12/30/09 04:01 pm I will go check it out!
Where is it located?
Pamela 12/30/09 04:54 pm It's located in Decorah, Iowa. The Minnesota border lies 15 miles to the north. The Mississippi River lies 30 miles to the east. The town is in the upper eastern portion of the state.
Pam 12/30/09 05:03 pm It's getting dark there now and I have not seen the eagles since this morning. They do have infrared apparently. I saw a little squirrel on the edge of the nest earlier. Did you notice there is a forum too? One or two familiar names on it by the way :-))
Celeste 12/31/09 04:36 am Thank you Pam! Looking forward to checking it out. Sound too! Indeed a New Year gift!
Celeste 12/31/09 04:47 am This is the beautiful documentary that was filmed there for PBS last year. The full Video can still be seen...never get tired of watching it btw...

American Eagle
Nancy L 12/31/09 10:49 am Thanks so much,Pam. That's a great cam!
Pam 12/31/09 11:50 am :-(( cannot watch American Eagle in our region unfortunately Celeste due to "rights restrictions" I think I must have struck lucky seeing two eagles yesterday - all quiet right now except for traffic and a few little birds flitting around.
