2007 Season

The Male Returns? (4/29/07)

After several days of harassment and attacks on the nest by at least two other ospreys, the male osprey appears to have returned. During much of the time when the attacks were going on, the male bird was not seen on the nest, leading to speculation that the male was gone. But today at approximately 12:41 PM, the male appears to have returned to the nest. This clip is composed of 5 short clips spanning a half hour period when the male osprey lands on the nest without upsetting the brooding female. In one of the segments, a third bird approaches, agitating the female, and the male goes off after the intruder.
