Shelley 05/19/04 07:55 pm Dennis just brought dinner, but Betty just nibbled then settled down on the chicks even though they were crying to be fed! What is THAT all about?? The fish is untouched!
Mickey 05/19/04 08:27 pm Hi Shelley. Its been that way all day. I have a opinion so take it for what its worth. A semi hungry group of chicks makes them "want it more"
Makes them stronger mentally. Makes them appreciate it when the food is given.Basically it keeps them lean and mean. Like I said its just my opinion. I watched the same thing you did and Im sure wasnt the only one screaming at my monitor.
Stella 05/19/04 08:49 pm Mickey,
Glad to hear I wasn't the only one yelling at the monitor. Sometimes I am afraid to look at whats happening in the nest.

Stella
Matt 05/19/04 10:10 pm I have to agree with Mickey. Think about the ducks that get fed. They keep on begging and begging and they get fatter and fatter. Some can't even fly anymore. Though feeding ducks is not good because they can't digest most of the food we eat and they depend on humans for food which, is not good. When the humans leave, they forget to fend for themselves. Besides, its always good to keep wildlife wild.
