Nancy L 06/02/04 12:10 pm Could you check between 11:45-11:55 A.M. today ---I think that is the body of #4 in the center of the nest. Betty actually picked up the body in her beak & put it down. She has put some "twigs" over it. Maybe it just disintegrates in the nest!?
LP 06/02/04 12:34 pm Is there a way to go back and check for a particular time on the cam?
Evey 06/02/04 12:35 pm I think you are correct Nancy. I've been watching her attempt to cover #4 remains (center screen) with pieces of dried grass &/or twigs. Also have seen some flies gathering at the remains. Perhaps that is how #4 baby osprey one will disintegrate. At this time it appears that only Betty is at the "viewing" while the 3 other chicks have their tails to what remains.
Mickey 06/02/04 01:00 pm It is #4 as I posted on the obs page.
Dave S 06/02/04 02:10 pm I saw what Mickey has reported on the observation page.
Dorothy 06/02/04 02:10 pm I know we should move on but I haven't seen much this morning; but is #4's body/head still visible? I see it in the nest "hole", as if head is up (but not moving and flies on it). I'm viewin on Realplayer screen and it appears somewhat in the center of screen. thanks
Dorothy 06/02/04 02:11 pm correction, I guess not really the hole but as others have observed along the nest wall.
