Thread subject: German stork nest
Name Date Message
Jamie & Jacquie 06/15/04 03:55 pm well, we just tuned in to see what was going on and we got to witness a feeding...the sounds remind me of the velociraptor feeding on Jurassic Park! We both also got to witness our first "poop rocket" and my daughter said it was "gross"!!! I suggested it was better than doing that in the nest, right? LOL
Marie 06/16/04 09:11 am I just checked the stork nest and the weather seems real UGLY over in Germany. Three chicks laying low to keep warm and out of the blowing wind. Those adult storks don't do much in the nest but stand on one leg and preen, and keep an eye on the chicks. Hopefully I will get to see one of the adults bring home dinner and do the change over of guard. Dinner
Marie 06/16/04 09:14 am Whoops that message got sent to soon...I was trying to say that dinner I know consists of regurgitated food. Not my idea of dinner but it certainly allows for the growth of little white stork chicks.
