Marie 07/07/04 11:44 pm For those who want to know about the littel birds I had in my nest box. Well, it seems that they have all FLEDGED and all is QUIET around here.
:-((. They roosted again last night in their hatching-home-nest-box and then took off early this morning.I haven't seen them all day. I think I recall from observations in my back yard, they only do this for three nights after fledging and then they are never to be seen again till Ma and Pa return in late March to start the whole breeding behaviour again. 50% or more of the young will never reach their first birthday. No wonder they have to have so many. One year I had five baby swallows!
Dorothy 07/08/04 12:33 am Marie, you should see these five little baby violet green swallows at-- they are growing up fast bet they'll fledge soon!
