Ellen 07/08/04 12:59 pm Has anyone else noticed that most of the nesting material that was from the 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock position is almost gone and that part of the bare platform bottom is now visible?
I guess that the chicks have knocked off some to accomodate their growing size.

BTW I have been watching for several months now and reading all your posts and hope you dont mind my adding a note or two.

Thanks for all your notes and observations!

Shelley 07/08/04 01:33 pm Welcome! We are always happy to welcome new voices (I'd say faces, but that wouldn't be accurate, would it?) Glad that you felt comfortable enough to finally jump in. I suspect there may be many others out there, lurking and that's fine. I lurked for quite awhile, myself, before taking the plunge. Isn't this a great place to fly??? ;-)
Mickey 07/08/04 01:58 pm Hi Ellen welcome aboard.Last year I recall one of the people who put up the cam and mic saying that this nest is apprx 5` around and 5` deep. Its been there since 76/77. What you`re seeing I believe is bark or old cedar shake shingles.
Celeste 07/08/04 08:04 pm Hi Ellen, let me extend my welcome to you too!
Kathy 07/08/04 08:58 pm Hi Ellen, welcome to our "Osprey Family."
