Shelley 07/14/04 02:17 pm How long will the cam remain *live*, now that we know they have all officially fledged? And does the message board stay active year-round or does it, too, go offline?
Cecilia 07/14/04 03:05 pm They kept the camera on through the fall last year...until something happened, a technical problem I think. Even after the birds were gone I would sometimes bring up the picture so I could listen to the wetland sounds :-)
Kathy 07/14/04 03:20 pm The message board stayed online but wasn't as active as it is now.
RonS 07/14/04 03:39 pm Last year the cam was left on, in its widest view, with the intent of functioning as a "leaf-cam" during the foliage season. Barring technical problems, and using the message board, Marie could probably keep our On-line Bird Call Education program going until the snow flies. :~)
Celeste 07/14/04 03:53 pm Yes, it was nice knowing that from time to time through the winter someone would post, either at holiday time, or whenever. Though not as active as now of course, it was nice to have the site open and many of us did check in from time to time. Yes, a perfect place for Marie to "tutor" through the winter.
Shelley 07/14/04 03:58 pm Thanks, all, what a great idea, Marie's Tutorial 101!!!

A leaf cam! I love it, too!!
Marie 07/14/04 07:14 pm LOL LOL Hey you guys...when my back is turned you are ALL talking about me... :-)).
This experience here has been the GREATEST and certainly RonS I would love to keep you all growing 'wiser' about the birds down East. Believe it or not YOU have far more Warblers than we do out West and you certainly have the glorious coloured CARDINAL. We dont yet??? Maybe one day a couple of teenage cardinal birds will say" Hey man, what's over them there mountains" , and the other will say "Let go and SEE"......and they will just love the WEST and never return!!! Ta Da...Thanks everybody for your vote of confidence...I will always try my best for such a great bunch of Osprey spotters!!!
