Shelley 07/15/04 09:43 pm At 9:07, you posted an observation. In the box to the right, where it says: "Other species using nest", you wrote: "Man"

Is there something you'd like to share with us....? Would that have been a man with a teddy bear, perhaps..?
Dave S 07/16/04 06:59 am Just my feeling when I watch the live feed, seems like I'm sneaking a perch there.
Shelley 07/16/04 08:07 am Oh, I know what you mean!! Personally, I wouldn't want to look down over the side, though! (scared of heights!)
Kathy 07/16/04 08:49 am Dave, many of us feel the same way.
I also think the view of the area must look beautiful from the nest.
Dave S 07/16/04 09:14 am It is a nice view, particularly to the south (behind the camera) where you can see Great South Bay, Fire Island and even the Atlantic Ocean.
Matt 07/16/04 06:47 pm Having spent some time in the nest myself, it is a very good view. But you need earmuffs to withstand the calls. :P
cathy 07/16/04 11:53 pm I'm not ready to fledge! But maybe in a week of sitting there, I might consider it.
Marie 07/17/04 12:27 am 'Fledge' I must for there is a need to get a few more things accomplished around here...everything has been on hold for the past two months as I indulged my PASSION with Ospreys! Isn't it amazing Dave that you and all those others down East look at the great Atlantic ocean stretching to Europe and Africa, and I on the other hand at this end of the country revel in the glory of another great ocean, the Pacific. Bet my ocean is more blue than yours!!! Joking!!!
