Marie 10/23/04 01:49 am Especially for Mickey, who likes the BIG CHILL.......
There are now some more pics posted of Lake Louise frozen solid beneath a thick blanket of snow that I took three years ago. Won't belong before it will look like that again.
Shelley 10/23/04 06:41 am Marie, the photos are gorgeous. I've only been to Banff and Lake Louise in summer but those winter pics look like a postcard!! Beautiful!

You must have some amazing zoom lens! I love the resting mallard shot--so CLOSE! I could practically see him breathing! And your roses are stunning, too
Thanks, Marie. A lovely way to start my day
Pam 10/23/04 07:41 am Brrrr - bbbut bbbbbbeautiful !
Mickey 10/23/04 11:20 am Thanks Marie. I went and turned the heat up :)))
Celeste 10/23/04 12:49 pm Stunning Marie....thank you.....

Lori 10/24/04 06:36 pm Marie, John says if your not a professional, you should be!!! :-) They really are wonderful pictures. He wants to know what a hawk owlet is? He also stopped to watch a broadwing hawk chasing sparrows this afternoon; he was only about 6 feet away. Of course I was at work & saw none of this!
Marie 10/25/04 12:12 am Lori thanks..one day when I grow up, I will be a professional.LOL please tell John that a baby owl is an Owlet...therefore, I do believe a Hawk owlet is a baby HAWK OWL which we have in BC...;-) They look and fly rather like hawks and less like owls...guess that is why they are called Hawk owls.
Nancy L 10/25/04 09:37 pm Finally got to see those great picts. Just beautiful - especially the Wood ducks!
Lori 10/25/04 09:42 pm Thanks Marie! We both new that owlets are babies; I just assumed they were a young hawk of a sort but the husband said I don't think so. Just like a man!!!!
Marie 10/26/04 01:35 am LOL LOL just like a man.......
