Shelley 04/19/04 07:19 pm Does anyone get National Geographic? In the April edition there is a map of Bird Migration, one side is the Eastern Hemisphere, the flip side, the Western Hemisphere. It's really beautiful and it sure is astounding that these creatures can do this instinctively, year after year... By the way, if none of you has yet seen the film *Winged Migration* I hear it's now out on video (or is it DVD? I don't know). But to really *feel* it, you have to see it on the big screen. It is an amazing film. I wrote a review of it on my other board; if anyone is interested, I can post it here. I've seen it twice already!

By the way, I'm assuming the scale of the bird illustrations in the NG map are proportional. Our Osprey are positively majestic!! (far right side, just above the middle fold).
Marie 04/19/04 09:09 pm In answer to your question Shelly...I saw it Five times already as it was absolute MAGIC...I now own the DVD. Each time you see it you see and feel something more. Truly this movie allows for one to really get a sensation of what it is to be able to fly. That is only if one allows oneself to 'BE' in this experience.
