Thread subject: RE: My 8:10 Observation
Name Date Message
Jack 04/22/04 08:27 pm It's now 8:27. I didn't want to clutter up the database with another posting. The lighting seems to be normal again. I don't know what caused what I described. Also I don't know if the geese are normally noisy at this time of night...but they are really in an uproar
Shelley 04/22/04 08:51 pm I noticed those geese, too!! What a racket!! I didn't see that light thing you described, Jack. I must have just missed it when I posted my observation shortly after you.

(I still think that white egg is a foreigner! ;-))
RonS 04/23/04 05:56 am Jack, I wonder of the fluction in light that you saw was the camera lens adjusting itself for the lower ambient light level. This morning I notice that the picture suddenly got brighter, as if the camer switched from infra-red mode to daytime mode. Just a semi-educated guess on my part.
Jack 04/23/04 08:12 am I'm open to suggestions Ron. Whatever it was, got Betty's attention because she looked directly into the lens. Then you could see something move across the lens from right to left and the brightness seemed to triple. I should have kept the picture up so I could have seen what happened next. But after I left to post the observation and returned....everything was back to normal. Thanks for your input though. I was beginning to think you all thought I was wacky.
Barbara 04/23/04 08:47 am Jack - you can keep the viewing window open while you write an observation if you are using RealPlayer: click on View, then "On top while playing." You have to start the viewer by clicking on "use this link to launch an external player" on the opening page.
Celeste 04/23/04 05:16 pm Firstly, Jack, I have noticed the light change come to think of it in the early am hours, and I just assumed it was the "night light" being shut off, and secondly, Barbara, thanks, it is true we learn something everyday. I never explored the "view" button before!!!!!
