Marie 06/22/05 05:30 pm As you are so good about capturing a still from the real player, I was wondering how to do this from the external Real player when it is running. You would have the answer I am sure. I have seen some neat situations and there is nothing that I can do to capture a pic from the streaming video. It is so easy on the Blackwater osprey site. I have even had pictures shown in their gallery, so I can do it. ;-))
Pam 06/22/05 05:49 pm Marie - someone else asked me this recently so I am pasting a copy of my reply here. There are other "capture" programmes but this is the way I do it and it suits me OK ....

I use analogx - download it free from www.analogx.com Go to Software - system - capture. Very easy to use. The only thing is sometimes you have to reduce your video acceleration if you are getting a black screen instead of a capture. It happens quite often but the thing to do is change the acceleration on the individual player because you may get a picture on Realplayer but not on Windows Media Player (or vice versa). You can set it up to capture your whole desktop or just the open window and you can set a hotkey (I use the top left hand key with the straight line and corner symbols on it and just press with my left thumb when I take a shot which leaves my right hand free to operate the mouse - very technical LOL). You can also set it to send the screengrabs to a folder of your choice. The pics are bitmaps (too big to keep too many) so I always open them in a photosuite and change to JPEGs (this is what takes up so much time).
Anne 06/22/05 05:56 pm Pam, do you have any advice on my problem of lack of colour please?
Pam 06/22/05 06:10 pm Oops sorry Anne - see thread below .....
