Anne 07/05/05 06:09 am Having ordered my copy of 'Red-Tails in Love' from the second hand section of Amazon UK on Saturday, I received it this morning. It is a brand new hard back copy (a bit dusty though) and cost only 50p + £2.99 p&p.

The publisher is Bloomsbury, ISBN 0-7475-4042-X
Pam 07/05/05 11:34 am Anne - thanks for that - have just ordered one at £0.01 !!!! In other words "free" apart from the postage. This one click at Amazon is a frighteningly quick way of buying. Will let you know what the condition is like when it arrives.
Pam 07/05/05 11:36 am Thinking about it - you don't have to be in UK to order although the postage would be more. We get a lot of CDs from USA and the postage is not too bad.
Anne 07/05/05 02:52 pm I have thought about CDs as they are so much cheaper in the US. Do you have to pay duty at all?
Pam 07/05/05 03:41 pm No - no duty Anne. You pay the price on your checkout and postage is listed in the total. Try Djangos at:

Very reliable and they will search their many branches for rare and out of print CDs.
Anne 07/05/05 04:12 pm Just had a look at this site and it looks very good indeed. I will use that.

Hope your book is OK. I have just brought up some pictures of red tails on the net so I know what I am reading about. I was surprised to find they belong to the species' Buteo' and not 'Accipiter'. So it sounds as though they are the US equivalent of our common buzzard. Interesting.
Tiger 07/05/05 05:40 pm Careful Anne. CDs from the USA may not play in Europe.
Tom I 07/05/05 07:00 pm Its DVD's that might not play - they have global codes (CODEC's) for which countries can play the DVD. CD's (music) don't have this. US DVD can play in USA & Canada, but not Eurpoe or Japan.
Anne 07/06/05 11:14 am I know by bitter experience that US DVDs dont play on European machines. I bought the Canadian version of that wonderful film about Winged Migration. However my husband says that the latest DVD players will play anything.
