Thread subject: Panda Cam

||The National zoo's female Giant Panda gave birth to a healthy cub yesterday (the size of a stick of butter) and they started a Panda Cam. I just tried it today and I haven't been able to get through but they warned that the site has been overwhelmed by hits, which isn't surprising. It will calm down in a few days but I thought some of you might want to bookmark the site. I watched a Giant Panda cub on a cam at the San Diego Zoo and it was amazing to see the 250 pound mother pick up her baby ever so gently with her big paws and claws :-)

||Thanks for posting this as I'm a big fan of the cams at the National zoo. The two litters of cheetahs have been quite entertaining. I was able to view the mother Panda around midnight last night however wasn't able to see the cub. She was spending a lot of time licking/grooming and suppose the cub was hidden in her giant paws. It's probably good there isn't any sound as the cub's cries are quite ear piercing!
