For all our newbies and regulars that need an update on migration and the reasons why ospreys migrate, go to the above link. You're bound to be satisfied, and your questions answered by the most recent AUG 26th Web-Log that Lisa, the Webmaster has posted.
Thank you again Lisa. Your info is always top notch and very current.
Also if you have the time and need more info on ospreys do read the
PROJECT OSPREY CURRICULUM.
Lots of great info there too on ospreys and all the perils of life as a migrating RAPTOR...
Gives me even greater admiration for these magnificent birds.
Good luck to all ospreys now that the need to migrate is and will be kicking in .We wait patiently for next March/April to see some of them return. We know in our hearts and minds not all will make it back. ;-(

||You're very welcome. It always makes me glad when folks who know about ospreys find the information helpful.
I kind of buried the Project Osprey Curriculum link, so if anyone wants to find it more easily it's on this page:
The PDF file is a student/teacher guide, and it has a lot of great info, as Marie said.

||Blackwater is indeed a beautiful, peaceful place to visit. I was lucky enough to visit Blackwater during the week in late October of last year. It was a cool, crisp day and yes, my husband and I saw several eagles.
We loved it so much we are returning again this Fall.
Thank you again Lisa as always!

||Thanks Marie...I would have missed that. As always, Lisa is a compelling writer with flair and facts! Kudos to her and the Blackwater for another successful year.
