Tim P 08/29/05 08:12 pm I took a detour tonight while enduring the homeward throng.
The Sunrise Hgwy. fledglings were both near their nest this evening.
One sat on a utility pole with a fish in its talon.
The other was chasing it's sibling with the fish until I got on the scene.
The lighting wasn̢۪t very good as it was almost 5pm.

Marie 08/29/05 08:19 pm Thank you Tim for sharing.....;-) Great pics despite the light.
Sure helps me when I am stuck here unable to go see my osprey juveniles at present.
I hope by the W/E to find one or two still around.
karen 08/30/05 08:58 am Nice Tim ... thanks
Cecilia 08/30/05 01:55 pm Thanks Tim...our Osprey fix for the day :-)
Nancy L 08/30/05 02:47 pm By the way, as a note of reference, the Sunrise Highway nest is only 1/2 - 1 mile north of the Bayard Arboretum where I walk & see nests.
Shelley 08/30/05 02:49 pm I wanna come on your field trips!!!!!!!
Madeline 08/30/05 03:17 pm Tim, grreat photos, BTW I passed by Sunrise Hwy nest about 6:30 pm , only 1 hour after you were there. One Osprey was on the utility pole at the time. Love your pictures, how do you get them. They look as though you're as high as the nest.
Tim P 08/30/05 09:11 pm Shelley: you had your chance. :)
Madeline: The biggest problem in that area is getting on and off the Highway.
You can't imagine how loud it is under that nest, the roar of the traffic is terrible I don't know how the birds stand it.
