If this link works then you will see a few pics of the outing to Reifel Nature Sanctuary. I have included some of the other bird life, as well as a few pics of the Sandhill Cranes seen at the Sanctuary. Also one of the little Saw-whet Owl that we couldn't find on this visit. One had been seen last Weds in just that tree. Not all examples of the birds were taken at the Sanctuary that day.
Pam 11/22/05 06:02 am WOW !!! It works !!!!! Superb photos Marie !!!
Shelley 11/22/05 06:03 am Absolutely gorgeous, Marie! As always! Thank you so much!
Anne 11/22/05 06:17 am Fantastic. I love the one of the male Greenwinged Teal - you can see every feather.
Marie 11/22/05 09:06 am I did take a roll of slides as well, but they won't be ready till Weds since we have had so much fog each day. The plane hasn't been able to fly. The slides and speciality requests go to Vancouver for process from the Lab that I use. I am hoping the slides will be the best of the Cranes. We shall see.
Glad you are enjoing the pics.
FOB Webmaster 11/22/05 09:34 am I love the Sandhill Crane shots. My father in Florida had a pair of Sandhills raise two chicks in the wetlands behind his house. A couple of times he saw the little chicks running through his backyard on their stilted legs. Too cute.

Thanks for sharing the shots. I'll look forward to seeing the slides.
Madeline 11/22/05 02:12 pm AWSOME-AWSOME!!!!!! What beautiful pictures Marie. I loved the American Wigeon, but as I looked through the rest of the pics. I just couldn't make up my mined which was I liked the best. They did pose for you, like professional models. Amazing how close they all came to you and David. I seems so strange seeing such big birds eating out of you hands.

Thanks for the sharing.
Celeste 11/22/05 07:07 pm I do believe that our feathered friends think of you Marie as their kindred spirit and they pose and show themselves for you! Great photos..:)
Nancy L 11/24/05 10:48 pm Wonderful photos, Marie. I had my guide book out & comparing the pictures with yours. Just terrific!!
