Marie 02/13/05 07:55 pm Although I haven't seen the eagles around here 'sky-dancing' yet others have done so. I believe that activity is often seen in the morning when I am at work. However, I have seen three pairs of eagles sitting extra close together along the waterfront in their respective territories so Spring is here albeit rather chilly. Also heard that the Park eagle has a new mate so maybe something will happen at our big park again this year. For two years we have had no young at that nest as one of the eagles had died. At least the days are bright and sunny here in Victoria at last but the nights are freezing! I saw the beach eagles together in their nest tree today. It is a time of year that makes me come alive when I see the bulbs up and the first of the pink Rhododrendrons blooming. We even have tiny pink single cherry blossoms out in bloom now. Some of our street boulevards are arched overhead with pink blossom trees. Lovely.....even a hint of purple crocus's along with the white snow drops. Yes! Spring is on its way and I am smiling.
Pam 02/14/05 05:30 am Lovely spring morning here too Marie. I brought a few snowdrops, primroses, into the house yesterday - they are hidden at the end of the garden and unless you make a point of walking across the wet and muddy lawn, you don't get to appreciate them. Well, two weeks from now Osprey cam opened up last year .... so many things to look forward to .... have a nice day everyone.
