Shelley 03/14/05 06:56 am Good morning, everyone!

It is minus 10 degrees, Celcius here in Toronto this morning and even though the cam pic looks fuzzy to me, I am hearing the long-awaited sounds of an osprey morning: the birds twittering in the background, some dull motor-like hum (maybe wind?)... If I close my eyes, I can almost believe it's a spring morning and that any minute, I'll hear Betty calling Dennis to hurry up with breakfast...

Oh, how I've missed this type of morning wake-up!!!

Shelley, grinning in spite of everything

(thank you, DPOF!!!)
Shelley 03/14/05 07:39 am I'm hearing the red-winged blackbirds, I heard a bunch of Canada geese and a number of others I can't immediately ID but whose calls are very familiar to me, some, very close to the mike.

You have no idea how I wish I could just call in sick today and just sit here, watching a fuzzy picture.....

WAAAA! I don't wanna go to work!!!!!!!
Shelley 03/14/05 07:41 am One more quick question: is the water Dennis fishes from, frozen? If so, when does it begin to thaw and what does he do if he arrives before it thaws?
Tim P 03/14/05 08:22 am The water (Carmens River) & (Great South Bay) were frozen prety good this year, but have been open for a few weeks.I do imagine it's still very cold though.
karen 03/14/05 08:36 am Thanks so much to DPOF! now we wait and enjoy the sounds nature at the nest ....
