||A site that I read about birds here on Long Island reports that an osprey was seen on a nest at Gilgo Beach, West of "our" nest by maybe 20 miles.
Can't be long now.

||Hi Grace would you mind sharing the site about birds on Long Island? I would find that very interesting ... Sunday I saw the first great egret of the year very exciting altho i must say the poor bird looked cold and miserable!

||Grace , that is a great site for the L I birds. Gives me a better understanding of what birds are singing what songs. Well worth spending the time listening to the calls that the site has incorporated. Many of the warblers we do not get out west, but there are a few. Thanks for posting.......now we all will be able to ID the osprey nest birds that come a calling as well as those in the background. :-)
