Interesting that the pair seem to hang about the nest for a considerable time. That is what Betty and Dennis appear to have done last year.

Hi guys,
Just to let you know, I just updated the Eagle Cam Gallery and you can see those night shots where the parent pulled the eaglet away from the edge of the nest. A very determined little eaglet.

Thank you Lisa....these still are 'priceless' Wonderful teaching pics. What a 'terror ' that little eaglet might turn out to be. We had one fall out of a nest last year....luckily it went to a rehab center and was set free when it got older. A permanent resident injured female eagle at the center looked after the young one so a good outcome to this story. |

I'm so glad to see these because whenever I look, I see a tree trunk and sticks. The eaglets are really moving around and all getting fed. |

The Blackwater Osprey nest is virtually gone. Will the pair rebuild it or seek out another more suitable nest? |

They have already started....Yesterday's nest there was hardly any twigs, branches, and today they are quite evident....they do have their work cut out for them! |

Thanks, Marie, for that info. How great that an injured female could still help out that way.
As for our osprey nest, you can compare it with the first photos from last year. The nest was a little better, but they filled it up fast:
