Rich_H 04/05/05 02:49 pm This morning was neat, I was driving West along Sunrise Hwy between Sayville and Great River I saw 4 Ospreys. One on each nest and two flying. On my way up 109 I saw a Red Tail Hawk being chased by a black bird (not sure what kind of bird it was).

I flew a plane up from Florida, on Sunday we stopped at Hilton Head airport for Fuel. I saw an Osprey at the airport. It looked as though he was going to land in a tree, but he was thermal hunting. I am fascinated by how they locate an updraft and ride it high into the sky.

I have flown in sail planes, I have no talent for thermal hunting!
