Thread subject: Blackwater 3rd Eagle Removal Photos
Name Date Message
Celeste 05/04/05 05:51 pm So far there a 3 shots of the third eaglet being removed from the nest to be sent to Vermont. The eaglet was removed this afternoon! You can really get a sense of how large these babies really are. Just looking at the talons was something. More photos will be added.
Kathy 05/04/05 05:56 pm They had him bundled up like a baby, what great shots!
Cecilia 05/04/05 09:09 pm Now I can't find my Backwater bookmark for some reason...I switched to Firefox and I may not have imported it. So, please Ms. Celeste would you give me the link - I would like to see the eaglet bundled up ready to be moved :-)
Lori 05/04/05 09:15 pm http://www.friendsofblackwater.org/camhtm2.html
here Cecilia this is for the eagle cam. I'm proud of the little guy; but I'm gonna miss him! :-)
Lori 05/04/05 09:32 pm just finished looking at the pictures... I guess I didn't realise just how big the nest was untill I saw those "'tiny" feet in there. The eaglets are bigger than the mans boots. I know that they are supposed to be that big; but I guess it's not until you see them next to something you can identify with; that you truely understand how little they aren't!!!
Celeste 05/05/05 06:36 am Lisa, the webmaster of the Blackwater Site, has added more photos of the 3rd eaglet's removal, and also wrote a "diary" of the day!
Cecilia 05/05/05 09:06 am Thanks Lori & Celeste...the pictures were great and that group does a really nice job with that daily (?) diary. Do they have a full time employee who keeps that Weg Log going every day?
Celeste 05/05/05 09:34 am I am pretty sure Lisa the Webmaster is the hardworking gal that keeps that whole site going.
Kathy 05/05/05 10:16 am And she does a great job.
Melanie 05/05/05 12:52 pm And even on weekends, no less!
