||The breeding pair at Bassenthwaite Water in the Lake District posted this diary entry this morning:
"A second chick arrived last night, Monday, at 8.15pm ish. It has been fed this morning and all appear well."

||I am going over to see the Bassenthwaite ospreys next week. Do you know if any of the Loch of the Lowes chicks have survived? I may go up and see them too.

||Well I have no official news on Loch of Lowes but if you look at the latest pic I think you will agree it looks like ONE :(
It probably has eaten all its siblings.

||Yes but not 100%. We did see a dead chick being fed to its siblings last year.
