Celeste 06/07/05 07:24 pm In 2003 I found the following link that provided step by step photos of an Osprey Family......this is great especially for those of you who are "newbies".....The link is as follows.....
http://www.utahbirds.org/featarts/OspreyFamily.htm

Each photo has a caption, as the photographer grew "close" to this family of osprey, unfortunately, one of the osprey chicks who would like to eat his fish on a nearby electrical pole was electrocuted...a photo that she sadly took.
cathy 06/07/05 11:37 pm That is a great series of photos. Since you told me about the end of one of them, I couldn't look at part 6 (I cover my eyes in movies too). Good news for my power tower ospreys near the Duwamish River that I used to watch from my office. Their 200 lb nest was moved by the City of Seattle by crane to a nest platform last Fall and, although I haven't seen it, I heard they returned from migration, found their new site and now have chicks.
Marie 06/08/05 01:51 am Wonderful news Cathy..........aren't ospreys lucky to have concerned MAN to help them out at times like this.
I am proud to be human in this case......
