Name Date Message
MarciS 05/22/07 12:00 pm I can see one
MarciS 05/22/07 12:02 pm Now she is back down again, so I can't see it. I wish I had gotten a capture!
Pam 05/22/07 12:11 pm I think you are right Marci. I got one or two captures, but not clear, will post in a minute or two.
MarciS 05/22/07 12:15 pm Mine aren't too clear either, Pam. This is one. I tried to point an arrow at the chick

chick
(Last three pics)
Pam 05/22/07 12:28 pm Hee hee try again Marci :)) - that was the same.
MarciS 05/22/07 12:30 pm Okay, everyone just look at Pam's captures, they are better anyway. LOL
MarciS 05/22/07 12:32 pm Pam, did you notice that the shell is stuck on her wing?
Pam 05/22/07 12:33 pm No I didn't notice but I saw it is lying in front of her. Oh Oh, I just went back and now I can't get on as the website has reached its maximum number of clients. News travels FAST >>>>>>>>>>
DaisyG 05/22/07 12:44 pm Great! Well done Pam! :)

Another one here
Madeline 05/22/07 01:26 pm aND WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY TO BRING A NEW CHICK INTO THE WORLD. CONGRADULATIONS TO THE CONN. OSPREY WTG

Server is all filled up, guess everyone's looking a the new member.

Gerat captures Pam. She definitely looked like she was ready. Hoopefully our Betty and Dennis will be welcoming new members to their family also dispite the time off the eggs. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
pccompton 05/22/07 02:09 pm Cool, thought I saw a chick earlier, but wasn't quite sure.
DaisyG 05/22/07 02:49 pm Here is a better pic. Just look at these proud parents! :)
pccompton 05/22/07 03:08 pm LOL - parent was so proud that feather on it's back stuck straight up!!
Pam 05/22/07 03:09 pm Daisy have you got streaming now?
DaisyG 05/22/07 03:11 pm No I haven't Pam, I have to keep using my other PC.
Pam 05/22/07 03:31 pm Here's something you might try Daisy. You may need to adjust settings to enable ActiveX which is what the Conn site uses:

Go to Tools, Internet Options, Security, Custom Level and tick Enable ActiveX controls and plug-ins. You can always change it back if it doesn't work.
DaisyG 05/22/07 04:39 pm Thanks for that Pam. I tried it but it hasn't made any difference I'm afraid, still won't let me install Axis. Back to the drawing board. :(
Pam 05/22/07 05:04 pm There must be a way....are you sure you have ActiveX downloaded? Can you get Woods Hole?
lynn 05/22/07 05:13 pm Does anyone know which adult has the feather sticking up?
This cam is a pretty neat one, pretty close up.:-) Wish I knew how to capture and post pics! Oh well that's a few pages ahead of me in the learning how to book?! LOL

Lyn
DaisyG 05/22/07 06:13 pm Yes Pam, that's the daft thing. I can get Woods Hole no probs. I'm baffled. I ok the prompt for ActiveX controls and ok to install Axis but then the site tells me it wasn't installed.
martyc35 05/22/07 06:20 pm Well, it's the same adult with the feather sticking up, but as to which adult it is, I can't be sure. I thought it was the mom all along, though. Here's how she looked in the first shot I got. Pesky thing. It's like having a bad hair day.
martyc
DaisyG 05/22/07 06:23 pm I'm pretty sure it's the female with the sticky up feather Lyn.

It's knowing some basics to start with. How much do you know about saving pics to your computer and then uploading them into webspace?
cathleen 05/22/07 06:37 pm YAY! Let's hope the other ones come soon and give Betty and Dennis' eggs some inspiration.
DaisyG 05/22/07 07:30 pm LOL, Marty, I got one of those too (capture, not sticky up feather!). What do you reckon, satellite receiver or solar panel?

Didn't one of them have a wayward feather not so long ago?
Shelley 05/22/07 08:01 pm What exactly is ActiveX? I often get a pop-up prompting me to click it and I never do. Should I?
martyc35 05/22/07 09:46 pm "Didn't one of them have a wayward feather not so long ago?"
Yes, in my last post above, the first pic is from today, and the second is from about a week ago. I posted it back then, but now I see she has not solved the problem.
Marty
DaisyG 05/23/07 06:04 am Ah, I thought it was another one Marty. I must have been either seeing the male each time I looked in or my focus was on catching a glimpse of the eggs.
martyc35 05/23/07 09:19 am No, I think the feather gets preened into place until something exciting happens and she doesn't have time to bother with it. I just looked, and with new hatchling(s) on board, I'm willing to bet that is Mom there right now, and the feather has been tamed again. For her sake, I hope it just falls off soon. Then she can get back to looking for a teddy bear, taking care of the kids, and waiting for the morning newspaper. Life has enough complications without wayward feathers, ya know:-).
