Pamela 10/23/07 09:14 am Tiger, this is an excellent site. The osprey maps are concise and interesting. It would be great to see Luke, Homer, and the rest of the tagged osprey on the E. coast recorded in this manner.
What do you suppose is going to happen to Luke, as he still remains north of Boston?
Tiger 10/23/07 03:30 pm Yes it is rather a lovely site. Yes I can imagine that the Bierregard site will grow in sophistication too.

Not sure what Luke is up to. He really needs to start moving soon. Last year Lew was the bird that lagged and it did not work out for him.

Meanwhile Finnish Pete is racing away. See Pete's Migration
lynn 10/25/07 12:47 am What great tracking of this Finnish bird. The shot showing the transmitter was really interesting. I don't think I ever reakized how long the transmitters were on the the backs of the osprey. It now makes me wonder anew if bad weather and wind etc, would be even more dangerous for the bird?!

Lyn
Tiger 10/25/07 07:51 pm Yes Lynn I have doubts about putting transmitters on juvenile birds. But I love the information we get from them.
