Thread subject: Norwalk Eagle Cam
Name Date Message
clyde 01/18/10 02:32 pm Gotta love the way this cam ( HERE ) pans and zooms to follow the eagles from the branches to the nest, etc. It's the first nature cam I've seen do that.

Thanks, FOB Webmaster!
clyde 01/18/10 02:37 pm Sorry, I blew posting the live link above. Try again:

HERE
Melanie 01/18/10 04:30 pm Uh - I think you meant the Norfolk Eagle cam? I thought "Wow! Eagles in Norwalk (Ct)!"
clyde 01/18/10 09:24 pm Yes, Melanie, you caught my boo boo. I live in CT just a few miles from Norwalk, so that name must have been on my mind when I typed in the subject.

But, still, your comment "Wow! Eagles in Norwalk (Ct)!" is somewhat misplaced. We have plenty of eagle activity - bald ones at that - here in CT, especially HERE at the Shepaug Dam Bald Eagle Observation Area in Southbury.

Southbury is about 35 miles from Norwalk: hardly a "Wow!" distance as the eagle flies.

Melanie 01/19/10 12:27 pm Of course you have Eagles. I knew about the large BE population up in Essex - I guess it just continually surprises me how acclimated they can get to densely populated areas.
