Thread subject: Decorah Eagles
Name Date Message
Pam 01/25/10 11:06 am For anyone interested....there is a lot of activity at the next right now with both birds busy on the nest, either eating or shifting sticks around. It's a marvellous view of this nest with clear views of incoming birds. The snow makes it look very pretty. But it is windy there this morning and looks very cold
Decorah nest
Pam 01/25/10 11:11 am It's so funny...they have been wrestling with one of those very awkward V - shaped branches, finding it very difficult to deal with :-))
Pam 01/25/10 11:12 am I should add...it's best to zoom your picture to 200 per cent to get a good view...quality does not seem to be lost by doing that.
PeggyMaine 01/25/10 11:48 am Good Morning Pam
Chris has been watching that for the past 1/2 hour. He is recording them ...
That Eagle just doesn't give up though
clyde 01/25/10 12:02 pm Zoom or try THIS link instead.
Pam 01/25/10 12:23 pm Oh I'm so glad Chris has recorded that sequence Peggy ! Look forward to seeing that on UTube. Clyde, thanks very much for th link - it is fabulous for a quick look if you don''t want access to the main website, saves all that zooming !
Marie 01/25/10 12:59 pm Only the blustery wind now for me...Blue Jay calls and the twitter of house sparrows. ;-(

FOB Webmaster 01/25/10 02:01 pm I read in an eagle book once that biologists saw a female eagle move one stick something like 13 times before she was happy with where it went. :-)
Melanie 01/25/10 04:03 pm Or from last night's from Nature's Bald Eagle repeat there is the elder male Eagle who relocated everything the new inexperienced female brought it.
Pam 01/25/10 05:11 pm I just ordered the DVD from AmazonUK...should be delivered within three weeks from USA.
martyc35 01/26/10 11:50 am You'll love it, Pam. I saw it again on Sunday night, too. Fantastic!
