HERE
This osprey cam focuses on a nest on a platform put up into a tree where there apparently had been a natural nest that deteriorated. I want to become more connected to osprey fans in my home state and perhaps eventually find a way to erect some nest platforms in my area. We definitely have ospreys and its known that nest platforms help them considering the loss of suitable trees. |

I remember your beautiful video of an Osprey in your area Cathy. Hope you are successful in your plan to get involved. |

It's nice they put the platform where the natural nest was..it'll seem like it's "their" natural nest to the osprey! |

That's cool. Seems at that height, it would be relatively safe from land predators too. |

Lets hope the Osprey return and enjoy their penthouse suite again. Must be time soon.
Interesting Cathy...if you get involved I am sure you'd soon learn where the Ospreys of your area nest. ;-) |

I've been watching this nest over the last few weeks, and what looks to be a GBH had been visiting ... March 7th & March 13th
Best wishes, Cathy, for your involvement with the "osprey movement" :) |

Cathy, good article. It's wonderful to see people from coast to coast, actually, continent to continent working together to protect "our" bird.
The platform is quite fancy! |

Thanks, Kelly. So far I haven't seen anything on this platform. Have you seen any ospreys? I have heard from birder's reports that ospreys have been seen on the Columbia River. |

No I haven't, Cathy. But not looking in as much with all the activity suddenly happening at other nests. But if I do, I'll be sure to post :) |
