Pamela 03/28/10 05:41 pm Such a good birdblog, Marty. I really missed it when you weren't feeling well, thanks for posting. Hoping this is a sign you're much better.
martyc35 03/28/10 08:53 pm Oh, yes, thank you, Pamela. I've been back for a little while, recovered from gall bladder removal, two cataract operations, and shots to my spine that have put off the necessity for back surgery. I am working on exercising enough to get out bird watching again. Thanks for asking.

Celeste 03/29/10 04:26 am As always so interesting! Thanks Marty!
Tiger 03/29/10 05:11 am Celeste the sleep police will get you :)
Shelley 03/29/10 06:41 am Thanks, Marty. That was a great one! I love those Pukeko commercials! LOL! For the record, I voted for the Invisible rail name! ;-) Gotta wonder how/if the person who named it actually ever saw one! haha
Melanie 03/29/10 01:53 pm In addition to Sora rails, we also get Virginia Rails and Clapper rails on the East Coast and I can tell you - Clappers especially are darn near invisible. They blend in the reeds and sedge grasses better than any other bird I know. You can hear them better than see them.
Celeste 03/29/10 06:24 pm Sometimes I can't believe it myself how early I post Tiger, but then in the early days of this site I was the "morning show host". Tim even had a morning song for me.:-)
