Thread subject: Beatrice back in the UK

Anne UK1 03/30/10 05:11 pm According to Roy Dennis this evening. Last year she roosted one night not too far from me. I wonder if she'll pick that same spot again this time.

She's timed it badly with all the snow in Scotland. If I were her I'd stay down south for a few days.
Tiger 03/30/10 06:50 pm Great news. These migrations are great to watch.
Celeste 03/31/10 06:36 am I just saw all the snow on the cam! What a welcome after a long migration!
Tiger 03/31/10 07:12 am Well there is no snow in the South of England. It will be fascination to see if Beatrice detects the fowl (sic) (sorry could not resist) weather and do a stopover like Logie did in 2008.
Anne UK1 03/31/10 08:25 am I certainly hope Beatrice does sense it, though looking at the forecast the snow's supposed to peter out overnight tonight. Meantime, poor EJ :( - White-out!
Tiger 03/31/10 02:52 pm Is EJ under that? :)
Anne UK1 03/31/10 05:02 pm If she's any sense she'll have headed a few hundred miles back south!
DaisyG 03/31/10 06:19 pm LOL Tiger, that was an awful pun :)))
Anne UK1 04/01/10 11:40 am Well it looks like the wind's sent Beatrice to the east of me but she's steadily heading home. Interesting update from Roy Dennis, complete with a couple of photos from a birder who spotted her this morning! Link

Very glad to see the snow's melting up at LG today.
Anne UK1 04/01/10 11:51 am Oh, and here is Morven in Spain on Tuesday. Link

Not sure what beast is behind her!?
martyc35 04/01/10 11:58 am Wow to the snow, and wow to the migration chroniclers following the osprey along the way. I'll bet some movie stars wish they had such widespread fans.
