kareninMD 04/02/10 11:38 am Haven't posted in ages but pleased to report the return of two osprey at nest by Vienna bridge busy adding sticks.
Also will be watching the nest at Salisbury University that Melanie posted the article about. It's visible from the tennis courts and has been one we've watched for a couple of years. Also have fingers crossed that they can deal with the radio issue without disturbing this active nest.
Melanie 04/02/10 12:52 pm Just because the adults are there does not constitute and active nest. the legal definition of an active nest according to the Migratory Bird Act is from first egg to last fledge.

Don't get me wrong - I hope they can resolve it without disrupting the nest, but until they produce eggs in the nest then humans can do whatever they need to protect the signals.
