Nancy L 04/03/10 02:32 pm Wow! The ospreys are really working on that nest now!
FOB Webmaster 04/03/10 06:29 pm I was at the refuge today and saw more ospreys in one day then I've ever seen there. On the first water nest, we had a pair, on the second water nest we had the pair and four other ospreys (four!) flying around the resident couple on the nest, on the Osprey Cam we had two and three nearby, and on the final water nest we had two who aren't really nesting but were hanging around. Then I saw two more in the trees at the end of the Wildlife Drive.

You couldn't get out of the car without hearing an osprey calling somewhere.

Oh, and I saw four other inhabited nests on the way down -- without even trying.
martyc35 04/03/10 11:11 pm Uh-oh. Population explosion. I'm thinking some are waiting for RI and CT to dry out a little:-).

FOB Webmaster 04/04/10 08:23 am Actually that would be good if a few headed north. We don't have that many nests. :-)
