Pam 06/15/10 11:14 am The Minnesota Loon story ended (more or less) last night when Larry Backlund removed the remaining unviable egg from the raft. I rose at 4.30 am this morning in order to watch it live, took some pictures, felt very sad, and then went back to bed and slept until 9am. So I am now back out of Loonland. Album is here:
Minnesota Loons 2010

A couple of us tried to start an observations database modelled on the DPOF one but with over 1500 people watching and messaging it unfortunately got a lot of abuse from some who thought we were trying to tell them what to do. I was very hurt and disappointed and so gave up posting obs. altogether at the end. It makes me even more thankful and appreciative to have shared this wonderful DP website over the years. People here know how to remain courteous and respectful of each other. You are a great bunch !!!!
Nancy L 06/15/10 12:55 pm Wasn't that sad, Pam? You are so dedicated! I only checked in there for a few minutes each day.
Celeste 06/15/10 02:41 pm That is sad Pam. Great captures always, you spoil us:-) oh, and this Message Board is definitely special...I still remain grateful!
BETH-OH 06/15/10 05:03 pm Thank you for your link Pam. I appreciated your obs
posting but like you I gave up with trying to
comment. Larry is a great guy, which makes the cam site very special.
