Shelley 06/24/10 07:29 am A more distant view but it really gives good persepctive as to how big the nest is! The birds look small! It also seem really windy at the moment. This second cam is quite shaky, not stable like the first cam.

Ok, off to work. So nice to see Marge feeding the chicks. She has been for the last half hour, at least!
Anne UK1 06/24/10 08:38 am I was just coming to post the same thing Shelley! I did know, but I'd forgotten because they switched it over to cover a bluetits nest box earlier in the season. Cam 2 is here

It's great news for anyone like me, who at the moment gets very anxious when Marge isn't in the nest. So good to see her sitting out on that branch preening.

martyc35 06/24/10 12:46 pm Wow. Now I've got two cams on LOL and no room for a small Pete's Pond. Oh, well, it'll be totally dark in Africa soon, anyway.

That nest is quite substantial, I am glad to know, considering the ubiquitous winds there. Marge and chicks looking good.

Shelley 06/25/10 07:04 am Weird optical illusion? On that second cam, it looks to me like a very distinct bear's face/head looking at the nest from the tree on the left, just below the foliage.

I think I had better go get some breakfast into me!
martyc35 06/25/10 11:49 am I'm just glad I'm not the only one with those optical illusions. I frequently see a person (or a tiny impossible crow) standing on some part of the Nauvo nest. It usually takes Daisy to blow the pic up and demonstrate the folly of my vision. I saw a man standing on a boat by that nest the other day, but this time I waited for the light to change and discovered it was just a twig. Saved Daisy some trouble, anyway:-).
