Thread subject: Needing an Osprey Fix?
Name Date Message
Kelly 10/13/10 11:50 pm Then look no further than to the land “Down Under” :) Two sites to entertain and amuse:

First, this nest near Brisbane which has a live cam at "Osprey House". According to the homepage, 2 eggs had been laid earlier this “our” summer but were abandoned; and there’s some question about residency :) Site here direct to cam ... And here is a must-see video diary of the 2009 season.

And there’s “Dave’s Garden”. MargaretK has been reporting and posting some truly fabulous pics of a nesting pair in Perth. The female, named Big Hook, and the male, Dad [original :)], have 2 of 3 chicks in the nest … one chick was accidentally killed before the 3rd chick hatched. Life is never boring as far as ospreys go :))) Blog here
Tiger 10/14/10 07:47 am Even see some familiar faces! :)
bethohio 10/14/10 03:11 pm Thanks Kelly for the links...2 are at the Brisbane nest right now.
martyc35 10/14/10 06:27 pm Nice to see the ospreys taking advantage of the fact that the earh is round:-).

FOB Webmaster 10/14/10 07:12 pm Wow, great stuff, Kelly. I'll be sure to share it.
Tiger 10/20/10 06:32 pm It seems the younger chick in Perth has passed away. A bit strange given the fact that there does not seem to be a shortage of fish.
