Thread subject: Phoebe's a New Mum!
||01/18/11 06:15 pm
||Phoebe, the Channel Island Hummingbird in Orange County, just hatched the 1st chick!
here ... here
||01/18/11 06:35 pm
||Watched it Kelly-did you hear the cracking of the egg?! Nice photos...thanks!
||01/18/11 06:42 pm
||No, I didn't, Beth ... I had just that moment brought up the cam and couldn't believe my luck!
Here's a shot of Phoebe feeding her newborn :)
I had read on a previous Chat recently that they believe this to be a "new" Phoebe from that which laid the 1st clutch back in the Fall.

||Why are there red markings on the cam image? Can you remove them
||01/18/11 07:48 pm
||Really, looking through the red circles and arrow are pretty annoying on the cam. :(
||01/18/11 07:49 pm
||Will the images not load for you, Lisa? I initially uploaded them into the wrong Photobucket album, then edited the message with the proper links ... they appear fine when I click on the links.

||Red circles and arrow ... what are you talking about?
Try this link :)
||01/18/11 08:13 pm
||That second link works fine for me, and NO advertising, either. Thanks, Kelly.
||01/18/11 08:56 pm
||At the first link, they had some sort of drawing feature on the site, and someone had drawn circles and an arrow over the cam image -- I guess pointing to things in the nest.
But the second link doesn't have them. Thanks

||Congrats to Phoebe :)
Kelly, the photo of her feeding the newborn - is the chick still in its shell or are my eyes just tricking me?
