Just linked in to the NS cam Marty and there is a huge piece of looks like plastic blowing on the nest, bigger than the bird - looks dangerous. What awful conditions for the poor birds.

Awww ... my beloved Sir Oscar and his Lady Ethel :) So relieved to know they survived the Autumn migration amidst a "tumultuous" hurricane season! There are 3 eggs.
I visited the nest last week ... luckily the rain had held off but the weather lately has been absolutely crappy!!!
One of these years N.S. Power will have its act together and bring the cam online earlier in the season ... but better late than never,eh! :)

Great Cam! Finally had the opportunity to check it out today and what do I see...an osprey from the wings down and a big plastic bag that appeared to be over it's head. I held my breath thinking, is that osprey's head stuck in the bag! Whew, finally it pulled it's head up and looked right at the cam and said, 'NAH, I'm fine, just rearranging the nest! Whew again!:-)
