Thread subject: Such Great Excitement Yesterday
Name Date Message
Tiger 05/11/11 04:18 pm Sorry I was so excited yesterday I forgot to come over here and post the great news.

For 11 years now I have been waiting for a British juvenile osprey to carry a working transmitter to Africa and back.

Finally we have two young ospreys ready to start flying north.

I have a big thread about it Here

Any yesterday it happened Rothiemurchus started moving north. See Rothiemurchus

It will be gripping to watch.

Where will Rothiemurchus return to?

Will it develop into a race between Rothes and Rothiemurchus?

Watch this space.
DaisyG 05/11/11 06:53 pm Yes it is fantastic news Tiger.
Come on Rothes...psst 15th... :)
Marie 05/11/11 07:17 pm This is great Tiger...I really love all the tracking of the Ospreys from the east coast of the USA...I find it most fascinating..the distance and altitude they achieve. Amazing...now to get an osprey with a tracking device here on the Pacific coast as I believe it has been determined that many only go as far as Mexico. Would be nice to know that some go further to South America and Costa Rica.
Tiger 05/12/11 03:42 pm Rothiemurchus flies on. See Rothie

He is making good progress.
Tiger 05/26/11 08:41 am Well Rothes moved on Sunday 22nd May. It was her 2nd birthday.
