Shelley 07/21/11 06:44 pm Ok, so it's not about a bird, rather, a humpback whale. A happy ending but it still makes me want to weep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A whale is trapped by underwater nets and unable to fully surface to breathe. Swimmers approach with cutters to free it while the whale remains still and cooperative. When free of the entanglement below the surface, the whale appears to show appreciation for saving its life.
Pam 07/22/11 03:54 am Marie sent me this video. It really is a very amazing and heartwarming story. The whale made its joy and thanks for the release very obvious in the only way it could and it brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it.
Celeste 07/22/11 08:38 am I did weep. Amazing and thank goodness.
Marie 07/23/11 01:02 am I too was very moved by this human and whale encounter...
They are so very precious.
BOB4 07/30/11 07:01 pm This story was on WABC World News Tonight.. a good thing and maybe it will get more people involved in stopping countries from killing whales for "research"..
