Anne-UK1 08/10/11 06:21 pm I've just found this link on the LotL chatter page. Beautiful shots of the Dyfi family :) - Link

Re LotL - it seems Marge has set off on migration. Last sighting around lunchtime on Monday, when she circled the loch just as she did last year as if getting her final glimpse to store in her memory bank for the spring. I so hope we see her again, but it's a dangerous world for our feathered friends and we know that at every nest the day will eventually come when it is home to new occupants. The male is apparently still hanging around, though I guess not for too much longer. Incidentally, Marge set off four days later this year than she did last, so perhaps the theory that failed nests lead to early migration is not proven yet.

Anne 08/10/11 06:30 pm I am glad she has gone because the weather up there is atrocious. Torrential rain for 24 hrs and more to come.
Celeste 08/11/11 03:52 am Outstanding photos! Such a bittersweet time of year also!

And the very best is that the "Lady" once again flew around her kingdom and started her migration.
Where does the time go?

My hope is if nests "have" to change, it's because of natural causes and not human related!
Pam 08/11/11 07:44 am Anne, thanks for those links. Good luck to Marge (Lady) once more. I have to say I really don't like to see those ugly transmitters stuck on the back of the birds but I know they are proving useful.
martyc35 08/11/11 01:20 pm Great pics, and many thanks. Good luck to Marge, the survivor par excellence.
