Pam 09/04/11 10:46 am Enjoyed very much as usual thank you Trish. Never heard of an Orange Bishop. I had to look in Sibley who says (under the heading Exotic finches) :
"Occasionally escapes from captivity. Small populations established in California and may be seen occasionally elsewhere in western North America".
Nancy L 09/04/11 11:51 am Nice variety. Enjoyed that spider.
martyc35 09/04/11 01:08 pm Lovely, Trish. I'm wowed by the black skippers. Never seen them around here, although they may be out there. Yes, the spider is great, too.

Vicki in S. CA. 09/07/11 12:07 pm Excellent photos Trish. I actually had an Orange Bishop in my yard a few years ago. They do indeed put them in the local bird book, there are that many of them hanging out in Southern California.
