Thread subject: New update
Name Date Message
Peter 11/11/11 09:53 pm Sanford's transmitter has been recovered.

New updates

North Fork Bob's maps updated also.
Peter 11/14/11 12:11 pm Rob's update from this morning goes into a bit more detail about Sanford:

"Nothing definitive on the cause of death--shooting is a strong possibility, but we can't be sure."

No mention of whether it was possible to analyze any of Sanford's remains for other causes of death, so one would assume not.

Actually he did not indicate that any remains were found. Is it possible the transmitter fell off?
Peter 11/15/11 08:33 am The transmitter was with Sanford's body, and there was no apparent cause of death.
jazzel26 11/15/11 12:44 pm I posted this message from Rob on the migration news thread on 11/7, you must have missed it, so reposting.

Sanford's body and transmitter have been recovered. Rob wrote 11/5/11.

"One bit of good news after all the bad news of the last couple of weeks is that Sanford's PTT has been recovered. Along with his body. It's being sent to the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey to see what they can tell about what happened. My current best guess is that he was shot."
Peter 11/15/11 03:05 pm Thanks, could you post a link to the migration news thread? I am not familiar with it.
jazzel26 11/16/11 01:17 pm Peter, the "migration news thread" I was referring to is the thread on this board you posted on...

The message, I received, from Rob was sent to his migration group.

Sorry for the confusion.
