Thread subject: Sad news in Central Park

||Bobby Horvath's Facebook Page (rehabber in Massapequa) reports "I've been on the phone today with Lincoln Karim of Palemale website. Sadly he found Palemale's mate Lima dead under the tree they both roosted in together last night on Cedar Hill. Shes been acting completely normal as of late and he reported they mated at least 4 times yesterday. He did see another bird at the nest with Pale Male also today so as mother nature goes its possible she has been replaced already but that is just an early possibility. Hes working on arrangements to have her tested to determine the cause of death."
So far Lincoln had not posted it to his web page.

||Oh goodness. It was a day for sad news :( Another strange story and poor Pale Male doesn't seem to have too much luck.

||The latest word though not confirmed, is that she ate a poisoned rat.

||This is so distressing to see and read about. Even if setting rat poison in the park is illegal, how on earth do you catch the perpetrator? And it sounds like Lincoln has had many conflicts with the authorities who don't seem very willing to enforce those laws anyhow. Really awful situation and just so sad.

||I wonder if this is the Smoking gun?
I did think of Lola when I read this.
