Thread subject: Two out of three have hatched at Decorah
Name Date Message
Shelley 03/28/12 09:39 pm one yesterday, one this morning. They are, as expected, utterly adorable!
martyc35 03/28/12 10:33 pm I saw that. Great!

Nancy L 03/29/12 09:47 pm They're cuties all right! And already pecking at each other.
Anne-UK1 03/31/12 04:45 pm I justy looked in. No sign of the chicks, they're well covered by a parent at the moment. I did catch sight of what looked to be a sparrow though, hopping around the outside of the nest. Now that's what I call living dangerously!
Anne-UK1 03/31/12 04:55 pm Oh, just looked back in and I believe I see three. Two bigger ones being fed and one little head down in the nest bowl looking hopeful. Seems to be a store of food there though, so fingers crossed they all get a share next time - mum's just covered them all up again for now. Definitely cuties, that's for sure :)
Shelley 03/31/12 05:40 pm Yes, all three are hatched and apparently doing well though they haven't yet documented the third hatching. Dinner was definitely not fish, though, unless fish have suddenly grown fur! ;-)
Anne-UK1 03/31/12 05:46 pm Ha ha, yes Shelley, I saw that furry thing at the side which is what I guess they just had for tea. Was a bit confused though, because to my eyes it had looked as if it had a bird's head. Either way you're right, definitely not fish!
Shelley 03/31/12 06:39 pm Just finished a feeding now! Only chick #1 got fed, as far as I could tell. And so it begins.... ;-)
